#DailyBookPic Day 30: Book to Movie

Book to Movie: Jane Austen collection

I own all six novels and at least one movie version of each.  For some, I have two movie versions.  I do love me some Jane Austen adaptations.  I even threw in Lost in Austen (great little BBC miniseries).  This pile doesn’t even include the Austen-esque movies that I own (Clueless, Bride and Prejudice, Bridge Jones’ Diary,  The Jane Austen Book Club, Becoming Jane, and probably some more).

#DailyBookPic Day 29: Autographed Book

Autographed Book: 1 by Regan Walsh

I know there’s a few autographed books packed away in boxes, but none were easily accessible.  And then I remembered this book sitting on my TBR bookshelf.  I won it from the author in a giveaway.  She was gracious enough to add an inscription and autograph.  I don’t go to many book signings (no time, too far away, etc), but I get a few here and there.

#DailyBookPic Day 23: Learning to Read

Learning to Read: Dr. Seuss

Growing up, I was taught to read using the old Dick and Jane books.  And I hated every minute of it.  Instead I read Dr. Seuss to my boys.  And they loved it.  My future children will definitely be using Dr. Seuss to learn to read.

#DailyBookPic Day 22: Comfort Reads

Book Browsing: My ottoman

Comfort Read: Persuasion by Jane Austen

My favorite of all my beloved Austen novels.  I connect with Anne Elliott and Captain Wentworth every time I read it.  I just can’t get enough.  When I hit a huge reading slump, pull out this slim little novel and dive in.  Nothing gets me back on track quite like some Austen.
